Game play and testing

One of the most difficult design decisions when building a game is balance. To that end we at ApApp have been working hard on the game play. We have decided that our first game test will be via a board game. It may be an extremely limit release, I.e. we create one for our local game testers. But who knows, if may just be that fun that we release it as an actual board game. We'd love to hear if anyone would be interested in play testing the board game.

Need a Name

We have been working our 1st game design.  It is a real time strategy game set in a futuristic space environment.  It has more in line with a western but it is NOT Star Trek.  You are in a single solar system with a series of habital planets.  There are towns, space stations, and evil aliens.  

You can be one of two types of starting players, either a merchant ship captain or a military scout captain.  Either of these can advance to ultimately control the whole solar system.  But it won't be easy because there is a race of homicidal alien creatures that keep getting in your way.  

As military, do you wipe out the aliens?  Do you keep the peace? Do you take on the pirate merchants who steal and break the law?  

As a merchant, do you take the slow and safe path of building an empire within the bounds of the law?  Do you take the added risk and reward to grow thru contraband?  Do you try to discover the secret behind this canabilistic aliens?

Either way the choice is yours!  Now all we need from you is a name!
